The Technology, Media and Telecommunications sector group combines lawyers who have sophisticated experience in the Ukrainian telecommunications, IT, media and technology law sectors. The members of our TMT group focus on the various areas of law of relevance to companies doing business in the TMT sector, eg commercial, corporate, IP, litigation, tax and labour. Their common feature is, however, that they are fully familiar with the relevant industries and the expectations of the companies operating in such industries.

Our clients include major domestic as well as multinational companies, that conduct their business in various telecommunications sectors, including fixed-line, mobile and wireless, as well as companies pursuing their business in media and technologies. The scope of our experience ranges from all types of legal support on regulatory issues, including telecommunications licence preparation and further negotiating as well as representation of clients before the state regulatory authorities, inter-operator telecommunications agreements, including roaming agreements, legal expertise in television broadcasting, including digital and mass media, to the acquisition of the telecommunications, media and technologies companies, and the sale and purchase of telecommunications and IT facilities.

Our TMT team in Ukraine is led by Olexander Martinenko, who has more than 15 years' experience in this sector. Olexander joined CMS Cameron McKenna from the Kyiv office of Baker & McKenzie and has brought with him a wealth of experience in advising clients in the TMT sector.
