Adam Mycyk and Olexander Martinenko, partners of the Kyiv office of CMS Cameron McKenna, were the only lawyers who were ranked in Band 1 for Ukraine in Corporate/Commercial work by the newly published Chambers Global 2009. As a firm, CMS Cameron McKenna's ranking moved up to Band 2 for Corporate and Commercial in this publication.
This year a handbook for foreign clients “Ukrainian Law Firms” has also recognised Olexander Martinenko, Senior Partner, among the Top Five leading individuals in Antitrust, Commercial Law and Energy. For Investment and Mergers & Acquisitions he is right at the top of the list.
Adam Mycyk is the Managing Partner of the Kyiv office of CMS Cameron McKenna and the Head of our Corporate group. He has over 15 year's experience in Ukraine counselling clients on various aspects of doing business. He regularly advises multinationals and foreign companies, banks, investment banks and other financial institutions on structuring and implementing debt and equity inward investments. This includes advice on privatizations, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and on complex cross-border commercial and financing transactions in diverse economic sectors.
Olexander Martinenko has been working in the Kyiv office since it opened, heading up the Commercial team. For the last 20 years, he has been advising multi-national and local companies, institutions and organizations on their business activities in Ukraine. Focusing on corporate and competition law, with a particular emphasis on anti-counterfeiting and unfair competition, corporate restructuring, as well as mergers and acquisitions and telecommunications.
CMS Cameron McKenna opened its doors in Kyiv in September 2007 and was the first UK-headquartered law firm to open in Ukraine. The office comprises five partners and 45 lawyers, and has already undertaken extensive work for clients such as Abris Capital Partners, ING, Wizz Air, EBRD, HypoReal, Eurohypo, West LB and others.
