Trevor Butcher

Trevor Butcher is a partner in our Infrastructure & Project Finance group.

Trevor has extensive experience in privately financed projects with particular emphasis on the infrastructure and energy sectors. He has advised numerous clients on projects in the transport sector (road and rail), and in a variety of other PFI/PPP sectors such as health and education. In the energy sector he has advised on IPPs and renewable energy schemes in a number of jurisdictions.   

Relevant Experience includes advising:   

• The successful bidder on the Moscow to St Petersburg Highway PPP in Russia
• The Slovak government on three PPP Highway projects and on the preparation of PPP, enabling legislation
• An EPC contractor on the contract for the 2000 MW Mesaieed A IPP in Qatar
• A consortium bidding for the M25 DBFO Project to widen and take on responsibility for maintenance of the London orbital motorway, including the Dartford Crossings
• Lenders on the London Underground Powerlink project including the 2007 variations for the power upgrade works to the Victoria Line
• An employer on the EPC Contract for the construction of the East-West Interconnector Project, a 500mw HVDC Interconnector between Ireland and Great Britain
