Tom Cloke trained with the firm, gaining particular experience in the corporate, banking, insurance litigation and employment departments. He was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales specialising in employment law in March 2008.
His employment experience includes advising on the employment aspects of corporate mergers and acquisitions, advising on TUPE issues in corporate and real estate transactions, drafting compromise agreements and negotiating termination of employment settlements, drafting contracts of employment, employee handbooks and staff policies and procedures, and advising on individual disciplinary and dismissal issues. His litigation experience includes assisting with the handling of Employment Tribunal claims for unfair dismissal, including one of the largest whistleblowing claims heard in the UK.
Tom is a corporate member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
