Todd Robinson

Todd Robinson is a Senior International Partner of CMS Cameron McKenna. He has extensive international transaction experience in the CEE region over the past 16 years.

Relevant experience includes advising:

• Cadbury Schweppes plc (CSplc) on the successful acquisition of 93.32% of Kandia-Excelent, the second largest confectionery business in Romania, from a private equity arm of the Vienna based Meinl Bank AG represented by Freshfields. The transaction has been reported as the single largest transaction in terms of value in the modern history of the Bucharest Stock Exchange
• A Swiss-based specialised oncology manufacturer and distributor with extensive CEE operations on an auction sale to Actavis, one of the leading generic pharmaceutical companies in Europe, for US$177 million
• IFC (International Finance Corporation) on investment and exit of IFC and EBRD in Banca Comerciala Romana. This was the largest privatisation transaction in Romania, and one of the largest deals in the banking sector in Europe
• S-Park, owner of one of the largest business office parks in Bucharest, in an auction sale to an international real estate fund, reported to be the most significant transaction on the local market

Education:

Todd has a Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL), Bachelor of Common Law (LLB) and a BA in economics and political science from McGill University. He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the International Bar Association and the Bucharest Bar Association (registered foreign lawyer).
