Stanislaw Wajda

Stanisław Wajda is Of Counsel in CMS Cameron McKenna’s Warsaw Energy Projects and Construction Department, and heads our environmental practice in CEE.

He is very experienced in the field of environmental protection. Between 1992 and 1999, he acted as an advisor in the Ministry of the Environment Protection, where he drafted legal opinions related to the harmonisation of draft acts and executory provisions with European Union law. He also participated in preparing drafts of numerous legal acts, including the Environmental Protection Law. In addition, he advised the Ministry in issues related to Poland’s integration with the European Union, in particular with the European Union Environmental Protection Law.

Stanisław was a member of the Legislative Council to the Prime Minister. Between 2000 and 2002, he was a member of the National Committee for Environmental Impact Assessment. He is a member of the International Law Association, the International Council for the Environmental Protection Law and various ecological organisations.

Stanisław has an LL.M. from the Law Department at Jagiellonian University in Kraków. He also has a diploma of the post-degree studies in European Integration (politics and law) from the European Institute at the University of Amsterdam. He was also awarded a certificate from the Centre of Studies and Research at the Hague Academy.
