Siobhan Costello

Siobhan qualified in 2004 and joined CMS Cameron McKenna in 2006. She advises extensively on EU and UK merger control and has worked on numerous multi-jurisdictional filings.  Siobhan advises on a wide range of EU and UK competition issues in a variety of industry sectors, including the technology, financial services, pharmaceutical and medical devices sectors. Siobhan has advised clients on all aspects of public procurement law.

Relevant experience

• Advising a retail manufacturer on the upgrading of its distribution system
• Representing a company in the construction sector in relation to a Chapter I investigation by the Office of Fair Trading
• Reviewing agency and distribution agreements for numerous clients for compliance with competition law
• Advising a potential bidder of Gatwick airport on UK and EU merger control and public procurement law, following a Competition Commission inquiry ordering BAA to sell three of its airports
• Advising the Department of Transport and London & Continental Railways on a merger notification to the European Commission in relation to the incorporation of Eurostar
• Advising a well-known medical devices company in relation to a complaint to the Office of Fair Trading
• Advising a well-known company in the airports sector on abuse of dominance
• Advising a well-known chipset manufacture on European merger control
• Advising on all aspects of the technology transfer block exemption and reviewing licences for competition compliance
• Advising on the European Commission’s inquiry into the business insurance sector
• Advising clients including Royal Mail, London Underground and BT on public procurement law
