Šárka Robinson is a Partner of the Prague office of CMS Cameron McKenna and a leader of CMS Private Equity sector group.

Šárka is both a Czech lawyer and a UK qualified solicitor, as a graduate of Charles University and University of the West of England, Bristol, UK.

Šárka is an expert in cross border corporate transactions. She focuses on transactional work for private equity investors, restructuring, leverage buyouts, mergers & acquisitions, and joint ventures. Šárka began working for the firm in 1998, in Prague, as a legal assistant. She also worked in the London office for nearly four years in various departments, including corporate, acquisition, finance/banking and international finance departments. At that time she advised a wide range of clients in the UK, including National Australia Bank, Wellcome Trust, the UK Government, Advent International and ABN Amro.

Šárka has been recognised by independent rating agencies such as Chambers Legal 500 and PLC as one of the recommended lawyers in private equity sector and corporate practise. ‘"Rising star" Sarka Robinson "is the next big private equity lawyer in the region".' believes Chambers Europe (2007-2008) and quotes a client: 'Working with Sarka Robinson is a "most positive experience".'

Relevant experience includes advising:

  • Advent International on a EUR123 million leverage buyout of LaborMed Pharma, the largest independent generic pharmaceutical producer in Romania
  • Advent International on its acquisition of 65.8% stake in Ceramica Iasi SA, listed Romanian producer of building materials
  • Jupiter Adria on EUR141 million acquisition of a large leisure resort in Dubrovnik
  • Zentiva N.V. on the EUR460 million acquisition of 75% of Eczacibasi Generic Pharmaceuticals in Turkey
  • Mid Europa Partners on its bid to acquire Kaučuk as, the rubber-making unit of the Unipetrol group
