Pavla Kratochvílová

Pavla Kratochvílová is a senior Czech advocate, member of the real estate team and the leader of local Employment Group and German Desk.  In the area of real estate & construction Pavla has assisted several real estate investment funds in acquisitions and developments of a number of offices and other commercial buildings in the Czech Republic and has been in charge of legal aspects of post-acquisition restructuring of their ownership structures. She regularly deals with property, construction, sale and purchase; and lease agreements.

In the area of employment law Pavla has advised on employment, social security law, and administrative law issues. She has experience with all different aspects of employment relations from drafting and terminating manager’s contracts, standard form employment contracts as well as dealing with staff handbooks, and employer’s councils and trade unions as well as mass redundancy processes, collective bargaining and employee benefits. 

Pavla has experience working for a German law firm where she was dealing with German and Austrian law issues.

• A large Japanese electronic equipment producer on collective dismissal of employees in connection with the closure of its local subsidiary
• Chargeurs Interlining, a French textile manufacture on managers’ agreements and other employment issues
• Willi Betz Logistik s.r.o. and Arjo Wiggins on day-to-day employment matters
• A major pet food producer on various employment matters in the Czech Republic
• A fund managed by Pramerica on the acquisition and financing of portfolio of six properties in the Czech Republic
• Standard Life Investments Ltd. on the acquisition of warehouse buildings Tulipán Park Logistics Centre in Hostivice from REDEVCO
• Siemens on the sale and leaseback of their office complex in Prague 10
• A fund managed by Invesco on the acquisition of the Slovanský dům shopping and business centre in Prague 1
• Real estate developers, electronic devices producer and other clients on various employment issues in the Czech Republic, including employment contracts and advice in relation to dismissal of employees and employment restructuring.
• Hotel Mövenpick Praha (MP Development a.s.) in setting up new HR structure, in preparing drafts on employment agreements, internal directives and working rules. She has also advised the hotel with regard to dismissals of employees and representing them in procedures with the Social Security Insurance Company, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the Health Insurance Company
