Nikolay Ouzounov is an associate in the Sofia office, and focuses on cross-border M&A, private equity, venture capital and commercial transactions.
His experience includes advising clients on cross-border M&A and restructuring, Series A financings, convertible note financings and down rounds. Prior to joining CMS, Nikolay worked at the law firm of Barnes, Richardson & Colburn in Chicago, where he practiced international trade law. Nikolay has a number of publications in legal periodicals in the United States on topics such as international business, trade and corruption issues.
Nikolay is a member of the Illinois Bar, the American Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.

Nikolay received his Juris Doctor degree, Cum Laude, from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. While in law school, he served as a Lead Articles Editor of the John Marshall Law Review. Nikolay also has a B.A. in English, Magna Cum Laude, from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. |
