Mark Nichols is a partner in the Corporate Tax team.
Mark advises on tax planning and transaction structuring and financing with a focus on Mergers & Acquisitions, private equity and principal finance, both UK and international. Mark also specialises in real estate transactions and fund structuring, with a particluar emphasis on the hotel and leisure sector and REITs.
As well as being a member of the executive committee of the pan-European CMS tax group, Mark is a leading player in both the CMS and CMS Cameron McKenna hotel and leisure sector groups.
He does significant fund and transactional work in Central and Eastern Europe and among the several major deals he has advised on are significant hotel transactions such as the acquisitions of Le Meridien and Courtyard by Marriott, Hilton and Marriott portfolios and the financing of the Arora hotels group. French hotel group Accor, is a major client of Mark's.
