Marek Durski heads the Energy, Projects & Construction Department in the Warsaw office of CMS Cameron McKenna.
Marek has been involved in a number of projects in the power sector, including project finance transactions, privatisations in the generation and distribution sub-sectors, and construction of coal- or gas-fired power plants and transmission lines as well as electricity trading arrangements including the establishment of the Power Exchange in Poland and cross border electricity trading.
He specialises in energy-related regulatory advice, including licensing and tariff approval procedures. Marek has participated in projects sponsored by PHARE, Energy Regulatory Authority and Ministry of the Economy projects aimed at harmonising Polish Energy Law with EU legislation and proposing legislative actions for expanding the level of competition on the Polish energy market. He has also advised clients with respect to offers of commodity based and financial derivatives in Poland.
