Lukáš Janíček is a Czech advocate and the leader of Prague Hotel & Leisure sector group team.

Lukáš has a broad range of skills covering most areas of Czech law, including in particular, real estate & construction. Lukáš has assisted several real estate investment funds and hotel owners in acquisitions and developments of real estate and hotel projects in the Czech Republic and has also been in charge of the legal aspects of post-acquisition restructuring of ownership structures.

Lukáš has been involved in a number of other transactions including due diligence on a chain of hotels in the Czech Republic and other countries in the CEE region and has advised on the local law aspects of an acquisition of the 50 % stake in the chain.

Relevant experience includes advising:

  • A fund managed by Pramerica on the acquisition and financing of a portfolio of 6 properties
  • A fund managed by TMW Pramerica Immobilien GmbH with regards to their acquisition (by way of share purchase) of the building housing the Prague Stock Exchange
  • Dawnay Day Europe with regards to their acquisition of Kolonáda Shopping Centre in Karlovy Vary.
  • Lighthouse Holdings Ltd. as part of a joint venture between RREEF, GTC and Benny Steinmetz Group on the EUR 76.5 million sale of the Lighthouse Vltava Waterfront Towers building in Prague 7 
  • A fund managed by Invesco on the acquisition of a shopping centre in Prague 1

During his secondment to the London office of CMS Cameron McKenna, Lukáš was a member of team acting for a major UK developer of commercial and residential properties and has also assisted in negotiations for a hotel management agreement.
