Katarzyna Dulewicz is a legal advisor and a Head of Employment Group in CMS Cameron McKenna in Warsaw. She also co-ordinates the CMS Cameron McKenna Employment Practice throughout Central and Eastern Europe.

She has been co-operating with the firm since 1997. Katarzyna specialises in employment, commercial and civil law issues. On a day-to-day basis, she provides a wide range of legal counselling on all aspects of labour law. She advises on restructuring employment, executive recruitment and termination, incentive compensation programmes and other ad hoc aspects of labour law. She has broad experience in advising on all aspects of labour law in connection with capital transactions (transfer of employees).

International publishing houses Chambers Europe, Legal 500 and PLC Which Lawyer? recommend Katarzyna as an outstanding specialist in the field of labour law and employee benefits. She regularly publishes commentaries on issues related to labour law in the press (in the “Dziennik – Gazeta Prawna” and “Rzeczpospolita” dailies), on television and in specialist literature (including publications of the Personnel Training and Advisory Centre (Ośrodek Doradztwa i Doskonalenia Kadr).

She is a member of the European Employment Lawyers’ Association and the International Bar Association.

Relevant experience includes advising: 

  • An international telecommunication corporation on negotiations with trade unions, internal remuneration and employment bylaws
  • An international press company on employment issues related to the sale of press titles, including group redundancies and advice in dealings with trade unions
  • An international pharmaceutical corporation on labour law related to the sale of its OTC business, advising on transfer of undertaking issues and employment matters concerning the interim period of the takeover of the business
  • An international financial institution on acquisition of a controlling stake in Polish bank, including all aspects of employment relating to current personnel of the bank including trade unions and advice on transfer of undertaking
  • An international financial corporation on establishing a new structure of employment for all key staff in CEE and Poland. The matter required flexibility and creativity when establishing a new employment structure and consideration of cross-jurisdiction employment issues
  • A recognised energy company on the implementation of a global savings scheme for employees of Polish companies belonging to the group and on incentive schemes for the management 
  • A multinational manufacturer of household, health care and personal products on labour law issues, related to business transformation aiming at optimisation of the cost and tax structure
