Ian Watson

Ian Watson trained with CMS Cameron McKenna LLP and has specialised in employment law since being admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in March 2004. He is a Senior Associate in the Employment team. 

Ian advises on all aspects of employment law. Ian's particular experience includes advising on recruitment issues, drafting and negotiating employment contracts; drafting and updating company policies and procedures; advising on disciplinary and grievance issues; advising on trade union and industrial action issues, and advising on termination and post-termination issues, including the drafting and negotiation of severance agreements and the enforcement of restrictive covenants.

Ian regularly advises on the employment aspects of share and business sales, corporate restructurings, redundancy exercises and insolvency situations. His litigation experience includes handling employment tribunal claims for unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, breach of contract and discrimination and High Court cases in relation to breach of contract and the enforcement of restrictive covenants. 

Ian is a member of the Insurance and Private Equity sector groups and regularly works on transactions and advises on issues in those areas.
