Ian Herbert

Ian is an energy lawyer, with a particular focus on infrastructure projects and M&A in the oil and gas sector: oil and gas infrastructure experience covers offshore and onshore drilling, production and other serivces.

Ian recently spent 15 full months on secondment with BP's Angola team, advising on $25billion development of four deepwater oil and gas fields, and has also advised BP on various infrastructure contracts in Iraq. Recent M&A experience includes advising BP on its $7billion disposal of assets in Egypt, Canada and the US, and advising Melrose Resources plc on various farm-ins and acquisitions in Romania, France and Kurdistan.
