Huw Price

Huw qualified in 2003 specialising in employment law. He works for a broad range of clients and has specialist experience in documenting and advising on a wide variety of contentious and non-contentious employment matters including drafting employment contracts and directors’ service agreements; negotiating termination of employment settlements; advising on information and consultation on collective redundancies and transfer of undertakings (TUPE); dealing with the employment aspects of corporate transactions, insolvency and the firm’s public/private partnership work; advising on the enforceability of post-termination restrictive covenants; and advising on redundancy programmes and individual disciplinary and dismissal issues.

Huw’s litigation experience includes handling employment tribunal claims for unfair dismissal, race, sex and disability discrimination, and wrongful dismissal. He also has experience of litigation in the High Court. Huw is the Employment team’s representative in the firm’s Consumer Products Group and a member of Employment Lawyers Association.

• Advising a global manufacturer of consumer products on TUPE issues on an outsourcing.
• Providing general employment advice to an accessories retailer, including dealing with the termination of its Chief Executive.
• Advising an international directories business on TUPE issues.
• Providing general employment advice to a pub company including drafting new service agreements for the executive management team.
• Providing general employment advice to a flavour and fragrance manufacturer."
