Frank Fowlie is a Partner and Head of the Corporate team in the Aberdeen office of CMS Cameron McKenna and a member of our Energy sector group.

Frank has extensive experience in all aspects of corporate work including mergers and acquisitions of oil and gas service companies, upstream and downstream oil and gas companies. Frank has also advised on all aspects of reorganisations, including acting in reductions of capital, schemes of arrangement, s.110 reorganisations, and acting for administrative receivers in a number of matters.    

Relevant experience includes advising:   

  • Eni UK Limited on the acquisition of Tullow Oil UK Limited from Tullow Oil PLC for £210 million
  • BP with the sale of Statfjord interest to Centrica for $266 million
  • First Oil on the acquisition of Reach Exploration for $22 million and on a number of farm-in and farm-out transactions in the UKCS
  • Talisman Energy on the sale of Brae assets for $550 million to TAQA Bratani Limited
  • Shell International Limited on the joint venture with Alliance NK and acquisition of portfolio of petrol service stations in Ukraine
  • Valad on the sale of portfolio of companies to German Aktiv Fund for EUR790 million
  • Talisman Energy on the sale of GOAL Petroleum (Netherlands) BV to TOTAL for $480 million
