Erika Papp

Erika Papp is a partner of CMS Cameron McKenna and the head of the Banking and Finance Department in Budapest.

Erika has previously advised major Hungarian banks on transactions across the CEE region and has several years’ experience of practicing business law in Hungary, particularly in transactional and banking law and securities law. Erika has amassed considerable knowledge relating to project finance and property finance transactions.

  - on the financing of a hotel project in Croatia
  - on the security agreements related to the refinancing of a clothing company in Austria, the Czech Republic and Poland
  - on the financing of a holiday resort in Kreischberg, Austria
• FHB Bank on a complex mobile payment project, first of this kind on the Hungarian market involving mobile phone payment on various selling points e.g. shops, gas stations etc. FHB Bank is a top retail mortgage bank in Hungary and this deal is one of the largest transactions they entered into, the first of this kind on the financial services sector
• Citibank on the due diligence and review of 11 countries South East and Eastern European banking and regulatory laws
• Eurohypo 
  - on the financing regarding the development of a shopping mall
  - on the financing regarding the construction of a shopping center in Eger, Northern Hungary
  - on the financing of the development of a residential and office complex in Hungary
• OTP Bank
  - on the financing of a construction plant in Russia
  - on a EUR 74,4 million bio-ethanol plant in Slovakia
  - on a financing of a EUR 15 million gas distribution project in Romania
  - on a HUF 14 billion project financing of a heating/power plant in Budapest, Hungary

  - on a EUR 8 million gas pipeline construction project
• MOL, the Hungarian oil and gas company
  - on the financing of USD 350 million for MOL as borrower
