Edward Benzecry

Edward Benzecry joined CMS Cameron McKenna on qualification in 1987. He is a partner in the Real Estate Group in London.

As well as being a real estate and real estate finance expert, Edward is part of our Hotels and Leisure and TMT sector groups. Edward acts particularly for investment and finance clients; he is the Relationship Partner for a number of them. His recent experience includes: leading the team on the 2007 acquisition of 30 St Mary Axe (the Gherkin); the acquisition of a portfolio of 1,500 residential units; and the acquisition of a portfolio of over 40 hotels.

Chambers 2009 say Edward Benzecry 'has a straightforward approach and an excellent understanding of real estate. He is also commercially aware and prompt at responding'. Chambers 2008 says Edward Benzecry 'is good at managing the expectations of the client' and instils a degree of comfort in clients with 'his depth of knowledge both in and out of his field of expertise'.
