Cleantech is at the heart of a huge global revolution, driven by many factors. Individually each of these factors is significant but cumulatively they are immensely powerful.
These factors include (1) protection of the environment (especially environment degradation, resource efficiency and consumption and climate change), (2) energy security, (3) security of commodities (for instance water, food, scarce metals, oil, etc.), (4) financial movement towards internalisation of the external costs of environment degradation, and (5) a global population increasing at a tremendous pace coupled with increasing human longevity.
