CMS Cameron McKenna LLP has announced today (6 April), that it is appointing 17 new partners, with effect from 1 May 2009. In addition, five previous Office Partners have also been promoted, with effect from 1 May 2009, to the firm’s equity Gateway partnership tier.

CMS Cameron McKenna’s partnership structure comprises three tiers of membership. Senior associates enter at Office Partner level. Office Partners can then progress to an equity Gateway tier, which entitles those partners to a share of the firm’s profit. After successfully completing a period in the Gateway, a partner can then be elected to join the firm’s equity.
During 2009, other CMS firms have made 28 additional new partner promotions and lateral partner hires in Europe. Lateral appointments include, Dóra Petrányi who joined CMS Cameron McKenna as a Commercial partner in the firm’s Budapest office. Dóra joined from Erős Ügyvédi Iroda, Squire, Sanders & Dempsey and has over 16 years of experience of TMT, IP law (including domain name and trademark matters), and competition matters.
