CMS Cameron McKenna LLP has acted for the founders and majority shareholders of Electronic Media Limited (emedia) in connection with the sale of 51% of the issued share capital of emedia to Reed Business Information Limited (RBI). The founders have also entered into a joint venture agreement with RBI under which they will develop emedia’s business together in the UK and other territories.
Corporate Partner Jason Zemmel led the team comprising Dipesh Santilale (Corporate), and Steven Sieff (Tax).
emedia has been providing Internet marketing solutions to the business community since 1998 and specialises in permission-based email direct marketing. emedia serves clients by using over seventy different direct response email bulletins to acquire for their clients new business, increased brand awareness, website traffic and more.
CMS Cameron McKenna has acted for the founders of emedia since 1997 on a variety of matters. Jason Zemmel said, “We were delighted to assist the shareholders of emedia on this landmark transaction and feel certain that the benefits that will arise from the expertise of RBI will drive the business forward to benefit of all shareholders”.
