CMS Cameron McKenna advises RBS on transaction

CMS Cameron McKenna LLP was pleased to have advised longstanding client of the firm, The Royal Bank of Scotland  (Corporate Leveraged Finance and Corporate Banking Leisure teams), in their £20million funding package to support the refurbishment of Heythrop Park Hotel and re-branding under the Intercontinental Crowne Plaza franchise.

Heythrop Park Hotel is owned by the Firoka Group, which was founded in 1990 by Firoz Kassam. The portfolio has grown through strategic acquisitions and developments and now own and operate hotels, stadiums, golf courses and health clubs. The portfolio includes five hotels with the new Crowne Plaza scheduled to open Q4 2010.

Louise Wallace, Corporate partner at CMS Cameron McKenna and member of the CMS Hotels & Leisure Team and finance partner Ian McGarr led the transaction, supported by associate Lara Kesterton.  Ian and Lara are also members of the CMS Hotels & Leisure Team.
