Assen Georgiev

Assen Georgiev is a Senior Associate, heading the Dispute Resolution team and a member of the Commercial group in Sofia. He has advised clients on litigation/court disputes and out-of-court settlement arrangements, mediation and arbitration proceedings in a variety of sectors, including Competition, and Commercial disputes. He has also led a number of regulatory compliance and licensing procedures. The core Litigation team he heads comprises three associates.

Prior to joining CMS, Assen served as a Managing Partner of Legacom Antov and Partners, one of the most reputable local Law Firms and was involved in many of the largest privatisations deals acting on behalf of the buyers.

In addition, Assen is a certified mediator filed in the Register of the Ministry of Justice and a member of the Professional Association of the Mediators in Bulgaria.
