Amy Bird trained with the firm and was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in August 2007, specialising in employment law.

She has worked with clients across a wide range of sectors, including completing secondments to the in-house legal teams of two top FTSE 100 companies, market-leaders in the telecoms and energy sectors. She supports clients in formulating service agreements and negotiating board-level exits, drafting staff handbooks and policies, advising on individual disciplinary issues, providing HR training and advising on TUPE issues and the employee aspects of corporate mergers and acquisitions. 

Amy's litigation experience includes handling Employment Tribunal claims for unfair dismissal, various types of discrimination and whistleblowing at first instance and appeal. She also has experience of High Court litigation, including seeking injunctive relief for misuse of confidential information.

Amy has published various articles on legal developments for Workplace Law Group and the Employment Law Journal, as well as the firm’s Law Now service, and contributes to the Workplace Law Handbook. She serves on the Employment Lawyers Association Training Committee and has also worked with the Employment Lawyers Association Legislative and Policy Committee in formulating its responses to Government consultations.
