Alexandra Florea

Alexandra is a partner in the Corporate / International Private Equity Sector group.  She joined CMS Cameron McKenna in 2010, having previously worked for a magic-circle firm and for a London-based emerging markets private equity fund.

Alexandra has an impressive track record advising on mid- and large-cap private equity and venture capital transactions. As a member of the CEE-SEE ‘flying squad’ of a leading UK/international law firm until 2007, she advised on and coordinated several hundred-million Euro LBOs and MBOs throughout Europe.

Alexandra also has extensive experience advising private equity clients on fund formations and day-to-day fund administration. Her time working as an investment manager in a London-based private equity firm has perfectly complemented Alexandra's legal skills, giving her an insider's view of the industry and an in-depth understanding of the needs and concerns of PE/venture capital players.

Relevant experience includes advising:

• The management team of a private equity fund in their buy-out of the fund's CEE portfolio
  Citi Venture Capital International on the ca US$200 million acquisition of strategic stakes in Beymen Magazacilik A.S, the leading luxury retailer in Turkey, and Boyner Büyük Magazacilik A.S, the leading department store chain in Turkey
• On the US$250 million leveraged acquisition by two private equity sponsors, Partners in Life Sciences and Citigroup Venture Capital International, of Biofarma Illac Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. a leading Turkish generic pharmaceutical manufacturing company
• A consortium of seven leading private equity funds on the €1.6billion disposal of their 100% equity stake in Bulgarian mobile operator MobilTel A.D. to Telekom Austria
• CSFB/the Romanian Government on the €1.4billion privatisation of PETROM S.A., the state-owned oil company in Romania
